#LEXSTORY A VISIT FROM AN INDIAN's NESTLE REPRESENTATIVE

(Today Nestle comes to BMKG Kepahiang to get rainfall’s data of 2016 2017 ).
follwoing text is a side-story of a Nestle's coffee Reasearcher's opinion about Coffee Farm and Farmer in Kepahiang Regency, Bengkulu.

45 minutes of valuable talking with a  https://www.nestle.in/ representative from India. He is from Nestle, and a coffee researcher. He had visited some places around Kepahiang too; for example  (Tanggamus, Kotabumi, Lahat etc) Lampung, Sumbagsel, Bengkulu, and Jambi, only to research about Coffee, how’s coffee farming here, and how to track the economic value of coffee.

He tells me, its all about supply and demand. Fewer productivity can relate to High Rainfall, it causes failed coffee crop so the supply getting lower, and afterall, the price is higher.

Second one, coffee price depend on The Investor. They invest more money in coffee, the price will be higher. Investor are concern about the demand in New York and London.

Farmer in Kepahiang mostly have a high ground coffee farming  most up on the hill, so they have problem with the Irrigation. They only count on the Rainfall. If they want to increase the productivity, they have to use waterpump and solve the irrigation's problem.

Anyway, about the representative,
he's so humble and  kind. Very pleasant to share his knowledge with us, especially about Coffee grounds.
One interesting thing, he stated that LUWAK COFFEE is just a MARKET STRATEGY. Its tastes is not so special as its price.

Now i know Why Nestle concern about GOOD FOOD - GOOD LIFE.

Here are some photos about his visit to our office, BMKG Kepahiang.
